Another week down… another week of what we learned. What did we learn this week?
-The Old Ball Coach took it to the Alabama Crimson Tide, riding his quarterback Stephen Garcia who completed a ridiculous 80% of his passes. Welcome to the loss column, Greg McElroy.
-Can someone please introduce Jake Delhomme to Under Armour? The long sleeve Gap undershirt he was rocking in the Browns/Falcons game may have contributed to his two back breaking interceptions. No worries, Jake. We’re all looking forward to a bounce back game next week. Against the Steelers. Coming off a bye. With Roethlisberger back. That should work out really well for you and the Browns. Or better yet, maybe Colt McCoy wouldn’t mind throwing a few picks himself.
-Florida State averaged more than 7 yards a carry in the 45-17 sha-lacking of Miami. Randy Shannon should be ashamed at the way he misuses the abundance of talent that The U factory produces.
-The Max Hall era started laughably Sunday in Arizona with an interception, and ended with a win against the defending Super Bowl Champion Saints. Not a bad debut, kid. Now call the glue factory and let them know Derek Anderson is on the way.
-The Ohio State Buckeyes are #1 after dismantling Indiana 38-10 (Props to JOCKpost contributor Donniccolo for calling the EXACT score before kickoff). All the Denard Robinson Heisman talk has been overshadowing Buckeye quarterback Terrell Pryor’s magnificent season. Hopefully that will stop now.
-On that note, last week on ESPN’s Pardon the Interruption, the guys made the argument that there was only a 10% chance that Michigan’s Denard Robinson would NOT win the Heisman this year. Sparty, your thoughts?
-The Chicago Bears played the Carolina Panthers in what may have been the worst football game of all time. Not just in the NFL. Ever. 2 teams. 4 quarterbacks. No talent. Jimmy Clausen, that was terrible.
-Taylor Martinez and his Nerbraska Cornhuskers are quickly becoming everyone’s BCS darlings… Why is this kid not on everyone’s Heisman short list?
-Way to finish the game strong, Carson Palmer. Two interceptions in the last two and a half minutes of the game? Still the Bungals.
-Nice on-side kick, Texas Tech. Idiots.
-The Dallas Cowboys still stink. Their head coach stinks. Their quarterback stinks. Their defense stinks.
-After a touchdown put them up 41-16 with minutes to play, Wisconsin Badger head coach Bret Bielema called for his team to go for two. Minnesota Golden Gopher head coach Tim Brewster was NOT pleased by the call. If they don’t want them to dance, keep ‘dem out ‘da end zone.
-Coming off a bye week, you would have thought the Houston Texans would have been ready for the New York Giants. You would have been wrong.
-The Auburn Tigers are 6-0 in the SEC, but still can’t stop the run. Pretenders.
-Aaron Rogers is one of the best quarterbacks in the league, but until his offensive line remembers that they play in the NFL, the kid is in trouble. Rogers was sacked 4 times, and knocked down 8 in the game against the Redskins. Reports of a concussion are looming and Packer nation has to be biting their nails.
-AJ Green is a man, and Georgia isn’t as bad as you think. At 2-4, they won’t make any BCS noise but I’m sure they will play a spoiler factor down the road.
-Sam Bradford, that was THE LIONS. You’re better than that, kid.
-Penn State stinks, and it’s not ALL JoePa’s fault. The offensive line is slow, they can’t run the ball, and their freshman quarterback makes poor decisions.
-I’m not sure what to make of Donovan McNabb. I want to hate him… but he has his Redskins sitting at 3-2 with wins over the Eagles, Packers, and Cowboys. Check in with me after the bye week.
-All Boise State and TCU do is crush opponents week after week. It’s like a video game. Say what you want about their cupcake schedule, these teams are legit.
-Nice to see you remembered where the end zone is, Ray Rice.
-Notre Dame needed a couple of second half field goals to hold off Pitt. Yawn.
-Tennessee Titan’s running back Chris Johnson paid homage to Terrell Owens Sunday by posing on the Dallas star after his game winning touchdown. Mistake #1 for Chris Johnson — claiming to be faster than Usain Bolt. Mistake #2 for Chris Johnson — wanting to be ANYTHING like T.O.
-I touched on it earlier, but I feel like I need to give the Michigan State Spartans a little love. They are a good football team. A really good football team. They have run for 200+ yards in 5 of 6 games, and their quarterback Kirk Cousins is managing the game. With only Iowa left on their schedule to pose a major threat, the Spartans could very well be in for something magical this season.
-Hakeem Nicks of the New York Giants had himself a game on Sunday. 12 catches, 130 yards, and a pair of touchdowns. Although against the Texans secondary, that stat line should come with an asterisk.
-Kevin Kolb, you still stink.

Kevin Kobb didn’t do awful but he does stink. Agree.
hating on the irish again and giving Tressel the criminal love. big suprise. y cant u give the irish love for dominating a football game from the top
irish kevin = mcmahon imo.
the irish suck. great teams do not need “love” when they win meaningless games. they expect to win those games, brah ;-)
dragon – nice read except you might be eating your MSU words when the Fighting Illini ROLL them this weekend!
Obviously he loves Terrell Pryor too much to look at anything clearly. Would anyone other than buckeye fans honestly take Pryor on their team over Robinson, Martinez, Luck, or even Dane Crist? Dude stinks.
jonesy u r f**ked in the head. u c**t.
