Upon attending the Vikings playoff game last week, Prince was apparently extremely inspired to go home and write a seriously wimpy fight song.
“I saw the future,” said Prince.
I’m not sure how fired up anyone can be after listening to this. Fight songs are supposed to make you want to go out and rip apart your opponents’ flesh with your bare hands. This song would make someone feel like wearing a purple sequined dress and parading it around the snow covered streets of St. Paul.
The song is chantable, but the background sounds are coming straight from his Korg Triton.
Don’t get me wrong. Prince is sweet. His performance at the Super Bowl was the best halftime performance I’ve ever seen. But he really flopped on this one.
