Let’s be honest with one another… the NBA playoffs have been terrible.

They have been boring and have lacked any resemblance of drama that would draw the casual fan away from American Idol or Dancing with the Stars. One-sided blowouts galore. Lebron James early exit. Milwaukee vs Atlanta has been the lone 7 game series. Yawn.

Conversely, the NHL Playoffs have been unreal. Upsets every time you turn on the television. Underdogs taking it to mega stars like Ovechkin and Crosby. Unfortunately, the casual fan does not understand hockey enough to plop down and enjoy this post season the way it should be enjoyed.

We are at a real crossroads in our sports watching right now. Baseball is still in its early season stage, and won’t satisfy our urge to crown a champion until the fall. With basketball and hockey disappointing, where are we to turn at this point?
