Yeah, we said it. Everyone and their mom has released their NFL previews these past couple of weeks and there are a too many predictions that have had me asking: What the hell are these writers smoking?
Of course, no one really knows what’s going to happen — well, no one except for Mazhar Majeed, but that’s a different sport, a different story for a different day.
There are a few things that people might want to take into consideration before crowning teams division winners or Super Bowl champs.
There are three teams that stand out more than any others. The top three most overrated team in the NFL this season are:

1.) Pittsburgh Steelers
I have to start off with these turds. I have read at least three previews that have them winning the AFC North over the Ravens and Bengals. One went as far as to crown them Super Bowl Champions. Are you f**king kidding me?!
This is the same team that has to start the season without their franchise quarterback, start an unproven Dennis Dixon, traded away their second best wide receiver, lost 5 of their last 8 games to end last season, the list goes on and on.
To their credit they do get a healthy Troy Polamalu back, which will bring their once-dominant defense back together. However, they did nothing to improve their offense in the off-season.
Mike Wallace will replace Holmes in the lineup. While he looked like he was on the verge of having a breakout season last year, he doesn’t possess the route running ability that Holmes provided.
Remember Antwan Randle El? Yeah, he is back, and the Steelers’ third option at wide receiver. I guess that is a good thing for them if they want to go back to running the gadget plays that won them the Super Bowl in 2005.
Hines Ward is no spring chicken and Mendenhall has not shown he is ready to be the dominant back they drafted him to be. While I do see the Steelers competing for a wild card spot, there is no way in hell they win the Super Bowl until they get better on offense.
Prediction – 8-8 (miss playoffs)

2.) New York Jets
I’m so sick of hearing about this team. OK, they added LT and Jason Taylor. That would have been impressive 4 years ago when they were in their prime.
I was impressed with the Santonio Holmes pick up, then remembered he had The Sanchise throwing to him.
Just like the Steelers they have a nasty ass defense but will find themselves having difficulty getting in the end zone. I don’t want to hear the “defense wins championships” argument either. If that were the case the Saints, Colts, or Patriots would never win.
If Sanchez and Shonn Greene show up then I will gladly admit my mistake of putting them on this list. But until then, no Super Bowl for the Jets.
Prediction – 10-6 (Wild Card, Fireman Ed gets to annoy fans for a few more games)

3.) Philadelphia Eagles
I have read a lot of mixed reviews on this team. Some feel with all the firepower surrounding Kolb he will fit right in and lead them to the playoffs.
Others, like myself, feel he will struggle in the beginning to find his rhythm, which will affect the team in the long run.
This is a very young team on offense. Between Kolb, Desean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin, Lesean McCoy, and Brent Celik, Kolb is the oldest at 26 but in his first season as a full time starter.
While that list is full of explosive playmakers, at times I feel they will have a hard time staying on the same page. The defense will have to keep up their end of the bargain if they want to stay competitive in the NFC East.
Prediction – 7-9 (miss playoffs, Philly fans call for Andy Reid’s head)

Spot on with the all 3. Couldn’t agree more. Maybe toss the s**tty Cowboys in there too.
#1, maybe. #3, maybe. #2 Jets? Absolutely. So much is their degree of over-rated-ness, that even the author picks them 10-6. WFT? The Jets went 9-7 last year including 3 GIFTS. So I look at them as a 6-10 team last year, who really didn’t get much better, if at all. And people are coronating them King?
This team and their ass-clown coach will NOT make the playoffs and are in my book overwhelmingly the most over-rated team in the league.
Everyone’s got a big f**king mouth with only one game played. Lets talk after 5 or 6 are in the history books. Go Steelers!!!1
typical steelers fan … idiot. exactly only 1 game played and you think the steelers are in the super bowl. 6 games in 3-3 at best
Typical steelers fan? Last I checked, they are 3-1 and play the browns and dolphins next. Care to revise that comment?
Ha ha. Steelers made it to the Super Bowl again. Finished the season 12-4. Won the AFC North again, AFC Champs again!
I agree with Zach. This turd for a writer was wrong on all 3. Steelers and Eagles both won their respective divisions. The Jets made the playoffs and they beat the overrated and overhyped Patriots. Both Jets and Steelers represented the AFC in the Championship game. The Steelers don’t need a better offense or their starting QB for 4 games cuz they got an all-world defense.
