Terrelle Pryor’s Helmet Stickers, Revised

Terrelle Pryor’s lawyer announced today that he is leaving The Ohio State University.

Too bad it didn’t happen a couple years ago.

Off the field, Pryor has been a complete douche. He thinks the rules don’t apply to him, and the coaching staff (and possibly the entire city of Columbus) coddled him, thus reinforcing that idea.

Does anyone remember the ridiculous press conference he called, just to tell everyone he needed more time to decide? He has always thought he was something special.

From that moment, it was clear this guy would not be a good leader. I never understood Jim Tressel’s love affair with him.

Let’s talk about his on the field performance, shall we? He was supposed to be the second coming of the Jesus Christ.

He has been far from that. His God-given body is perfect for football. His decision making ability is worse than terrible. He never evolved into anything more than a great high school quarterback.

Now ESPN is reporting that Pryor received somewhere around $40,000 in cash for signing memorabilia.

Is it any surprise he used his lawyer to make this announcement? He’s not so keen on calling a press conference now, is he?

Nope, he’s slinking away in a completely spineless fashion. Being a winning Ohio State quarterback guarantees you king-like status in Columbus for the rest of your life.

Unless, of course you bring down the entire program with repeated selfish behavior. He can kiss all that goodbye.

It might be in his best interest to never return to Columbus again. Not that he’ll miss it.
