There are many reasons to like Allen Iverson. You could never question the man’s toughness on the court. He is the ultimate David vs. Goliath in an environment where enormous athletes are the typical mold.
We laughed it off when he tried to make a rap album. Again, we chuckled when he decided to miss a practice or two.
But now that the final chapter of A.I.’s basketball career is coming to an end has ended, and with Stephen A. Smith reporting that Iverson has an intense gambling and alcohol problem, isn’t it time for Iverson to finally take something seriously?
For our sake, we hope not.
