Serena Williams, one of the world’s most dominating female athletes had an interesting choice of words after winning the twelfth slam event of her career.
“She was playing well but I didn’t want to go out like that and I literally said to myself, “I need to man up and start playing better.”
This quote can’t be good for the women fighting for the legitmacy of women’s sports. It’s hard not to laugh when someone says that female sports are as
interesting as their male counterparts.
Especially when one of the best female athletes in the world admits she channels her inner man when she needs an extra boost.
