According to Josh Cribbs, it is “unlikely” he will play another game in a Browns uniform. The $1.4 million yearly offer is insulting for a player who believes he is the best at what he does.
It’s hard to argue this fact, but at the same time he does need to remember that he is the best player on probably the least talented team in the NFL. It’s basically like saying you are the skinniest kid at fat camp. Not only that, but he is also only a Special Team’s Guru. Why would you pay your best Special Teams player $3-4 million a year? I know, I know, he also plays WR and Wildcat QB, but he wouldn’t have to do this if the Browns had talent atĀ either of these positions.
Look at what happened to Devin Hester. The Bears paid him, and I don’t think I have seen him on a Sportscenter Highlight real since.
Apparently Cribbs has already cleaned out hisĀ locker, which also makes me ask the question, will he be relocating his TV show ‘Josh’s Cribbs’ if he moves to a different team/city?
I can see it now. ‘Josh’s Cribbs live from Detroit!’ Check out these awesome houses!
