Referee That Robbed USA of Win Not Invited Back To World Cup
It is safe to say team USA will have a better referee calling the game on Wednesday when they take on Algeria.
By now the name Koman Coulibaly brings anger to any soccer fan of the U.S. It was his horrendous call that kept the team from picking up three points in their amazing comeback against Slovenia.
FIFA announced today that Coulibaly would be left off of the list for the next set of matches, including Tuesday and Wednesday’s critical matches. This decision came after he was given a “poor” assessment following the U.S./Slovenia game.
Poor?!?!?! More like fucking awful.
Give me a florescent green shirt and a whistle and I could have called a better game than that.
Instead, Belgian referee Frank De Bleeckere will take the field to hopefully call a fair game as the Americans play for their World Cup lives.
De Bleeckere has been put in charge of big games in the past and is a highly respected referee in the soccer world; pretty much the complete opposite of Coulibaly.
To prepare for the game he is going to watch game tape of Algeria, the United States, and… Gladiator. Yes, the Russell Crowe movie.
What better way to get ready for an epic soccer showdown than watching Roman soldiers hack off each other’s appendages?
I find this ironic considering he is officiating a sport with some of the biggest pussies (flopping is for PUSSIES!) I have ever laid eyes on.
Regardless, this match should be free of phantom calls that don’t require explanation.
USA team deserved a real respect from eberybody, it`s a result of 3:2 draw !! Refrees` disasterous performance come till now is like this: 3 goals scored from offsights in 3 different matches, one goal for Brazil from a repeated handball and a correct goal cancelled for USA, All in this very short round!!..what`s up with the fifa it`s either doubling the referees or come back to judges and recordings like other games..it makes no sense anymore to follow the early 20th centurey rules
Jim Joyce thinks that was an awful call.
FIFA needs to step in to make instant video replay and observers who watch tse he referres.
Otherwise FIFA will lose repect abd the game of soccer will suffer a setback back.
Serbia are not in their group, it was Slovenia.
