Rangers Pitcher Dustin Nippert Takes A Line Drive To The Head [Video]
Fortunately, this looked much worse that it was.
In the 6th inning versus the Detroit Tigers, Rangers pitcher Dustin Nippert got hit in the head with a line drive off the bat of Austin Jackson.
After the ball hit Nippert’s head it bounced clear into the outfield. That s**t can’t feel good.
“We’ll probably give him a couple days off, just because you want to be careful when a guy gets hit in the head, but he’s OK,” blow fiend Ron Washington said. “It looked a lot worse than it actually was.”
Austin Jackson said “I was watching the ball, so I saw it hit him. It’s weird, because you want to stop and check on him, but you have to keep running.”
Watch the video while you can, because you know how MLB rolls.
