Nike Blows the Doors Off of Everything With World Cup Ad [Video]
Nike has long been the sports advertising king.
From the days of Jordan, to any of the Tiger ads, Polamalu vs. LT, “My Better is Better”, and “We Are All Witnesses”, they have proven time and time again that they will spare no expense to make a bad-ass ad spot.
Their new 2010 World Cup ad, “Write the Future”, can best be described as 3 minutes of Ronaldo lovin’, bicycle kickin’, Homer Simpson cameo-in’ epic-f**king-awesomeness.
It was directed by Alejandro Inarritu, the director of “21 Grams” and “Babel”, and it has the look and feel of a big-budget Oscar nominee. With appearances across the sports and pop mediums, this is the biggest ad Nike has ever done. Fitting, given it is for the world’s biggest sporting event.
Enjoy.
