Ok, so it might not be the easiest shot in World Cup history, but it is definitely the worst f**k up I have seen in my lifetime.
After a cross from his teammate, the wide open Yakubu takes the wide open shot and completely misses the wide open goal. Did I mention it was wide open?
Unfortunately for Yakubu, assuming Nigerian fans actually give a s**t, he could be facing exile, or even worse death based on the past experiences that f**k ups like him have gone through. Remember the Colombian player that was killed after scoring a goal in his own net in the ‘94 World Cup? Now I’m not exactly saying that Yakubu falls into the same category, and to be honest he might have been offsides, but this shot is without a doubt the worst miss in this year’s World Cup.
Watch the video and tell me that if an American missed a shot like this, he would have a hell of a time going out in public when he came back. Wait, what am I talking about? Americans don’t give a f**k about soccer…
