Starting in 2012, Nike will replace Reebok as the provider for uniforms in the NFL, all but putting Reebok completely out of business I am sure. The uniforms, however real or fake, have been circulating the web, and regardless of who designed them, they are pretty damn awesome.
The Bengals, Patriots, and Redskins instantly jump out as being the most dramatic designs – the creativity level for Browns uniforms has obviously reached its peak – and sorry Packers fans, looks like you might not be around in 2012.

I like some of the new uniforms. The ones i do like are NO, Minn, KC, SD, MIA, BUFF, NYJ, AZ, CAR, DET, PHI. The others can go. The Cowboys should go back to there old school uniforms with the stars on the shoulder pads with the white helmets.
Whoever made these sure loves yellow. I hope all of the yellow ones are fake, I love NO,CAR,DET, SEA, and Hou. The rest can go :)

1st of all I like all of the jerseys the way they are now but I wouldn’t mind seeing them wear these ones every now and then like they do with the throwbacks. Plus some of the teams in the NFL need some type of help and maybe the jersey are it. (kidding) Serisouly though if I was a fan of a team that sucks like the Bills and half of the other NFL teams this year I would be excited for some change.

My father-in-law is on the board for Nike Corp, and they’ve been working on this for a little over a year now. These are basically what they have in mind, the packers arent up because they were having trouble with the owner not wanting them to change. I’m ”for” most of them, but some are horrible haha. According to any NFL insider that I’ve seen asked about this, this is the work of someone with a little too much time on his hands, and has nothing to do with Nike or the NFL. Good thing too, because if the Patriots start wearing these I’m gonna have to find another sport to root for. I hear the NHL has pretty nice uniforms.

Some of you are such Dummmmmaaays! These are way sick! Let’s get real though, we all know only the financially successful teams are going to be able to afford these and/or even want these. Some of you are acting like this is a requirement, “Oh my teams uniforms are good as they are”…”Please don’t change them”… “These suck”, “These are hideous!”…Just shutup already lol! Also, “College does this and that”…Thank you for that- this is the NFL! Who gives a s**t about college! Even if it can be better than the NFL at some times we’re talking about changes in the NFL- not making a comparison. Plus, this is all about gaining an audience, and from a business standpoint this would work! They need to work out a few things on the Jets, Raiders, Ravens, Browns, Texans, Titans, Giants, Redskins, 49ers, Vikings, and Bucs good start but just change the color scheme to them, they look ridiculous! If folks were to read just one of those pieces, obviously the NFL PR is the most definitive, but the “Gullible’s Travels” is just teeming with what’s incorrect, from stuff as big as the basic figure models (Nike Pro Combat, College 2010) to the small stuff like exposed calf (which is actually illegal in the NFL, and can result in a hefty monetary fine).

Right. 31 of 32 teams are going to change their uniforms all at once. Anyone capable of independent and critical thought can deduce that this is nothing more than mere fantasy. Whoever did these got happy after the first 2, then felt they had to do all teams, possibly leaving 1 out to make it seem legit. They ran out of steam after the 12th or so, and the remainder were just generic versions of the others.
These uniforms are nice. The people who designed these did a great job. I myself will admit that some unis can be worked on. These are concepts, not the real thing. SO CHILL YOUR D1CK
I do not care for the designs on the pants or under sleeves, and stick with the traditional colors and mascot pictures on ALL team uniforms.

I am going to assume these are fake since I’ve seen them on 3 different sites and every single one has different designs for each team. Regardless, I am a bears fan and if anyone ever made our team wear a white helmet I would probably have an anurism.

Well the idea is cool. Some of the uniforms look pretty sharp, but nike if the colts havent changed but a few stripes and a color hue they wont change for you. throw some of these in Madden 12 they might get used a little. It looks a little like the artist needs to take a trip to each city and talk to the fans first. I dont think much will happen…. except a few a@@ whoopins!

The Bengals pants are really cheezy. Steelers: Keep the helmet black, Leave great alone. And tell the designers to keep the logos on the helmets in full view and not cropped.
They are just stroking themselves. Fans don’t care about logos cropped off. Some designs are cool. Some are bad and over the top.
These uniforms make me soft, only a few look good and they are the ones they left the same mostly. I am a huge steelers fan and have a basement full of random items i have gotten or bought over the years my walls are even painted in their colors. IMO if it aint broke dont fix it.

Overall concept is too Rollerball. No way you could get all 32 teams to get on board. Some teams (Bills, Titans, Jags, Falcons, Cards, etc. — {Cards need a whole new name, logo, identity}) are in dire need of a uniform change, and actually some of these elements look like a good place to start.
First the throw back uniforms now the throw-up uniforms. They did away with the Steeler logo and the colors are no longer black and gold. How can you for marketing purposes, change the entire look of what the Steeler nation stands for? They took the NFL to the arena football level. Congrats Nike.

Leave the uniforms as they are. The uniforms on this website are ugly and the colors are yuck!!!!! I am a Steelrs fan and I hate the colors chosen for our uniform and thoughts of removing the logo from the helmet is heartbreaking. The logo symbolizes Pittsburgh and the Steel City. Even though steel isn’t prevelent now it is what we used to be and we are proud of it.
What you are showing isn’t an improvement but a deterioration of a good thing. Stick with the original colors and logos on all uniforms.

Most of these team uniforms are too abstract and cartoonish. The only ones I actually think are an improvement from the norm are the Detroit’s and Carolina’s. The Redskin helmet is pretty cool too.
You guys need to remember, the league is over 75% African American and oh yeah by the way they like flashy clothes. I actually saw the exact print up on the big screen at the Lions last game against the Vikings. More then likely these will be the jerseys as they can not post marketing in stadiums that don’t hold weight. Sorry for some of the NFL fans these will be your jerseys. I don’t understand why they would change every jersey in the NFL. It would be depressing if all the old jerseys were replaced with these ugly new uniforms. Even though it’s not about what you wear it’s about how you play I don’t think these new jerseys will cut it. When I saw these pictures I felt upset like we are getting over our heads and we should stay traditional like the old days. This has to be some kind of a cruel joke! These are absolutley DISGUSTING! Part of what makes the NFL as popular as it is today is the history and visual appeal of the teams and their uniforms! Teams like the Bears, Packers, Browns Cowboys and Vikings (to name a few) have had the same uniforms for so long that they have become the identity of their respective franchises! These are making the XFL and Arena League uniforms look good! Don’t mess with perfection.
So much for tradition!
These jerseys are all amazing. Reebok is a dead brand on life support and this is a great way to help the nfl financially by having a successful stock backing it. OH yeah for you steelers fans who sre complaining get over it. Those our your logos colors if u realize it or not and by the way black and yellow is still the focus. All and all I prsy these become the uniforms, THEIR SICK NASTY AWESOME.
The NFL is trying to outdo itself if they come out with these the unfiforms the teams have are fine and If a teAm wants a change they can pay for it themselves I mean the NFL is a billion+ dollar industry.
I am a diehard born and raised Eagles fan…….Born in Philly but living in Texas now…..I have to say the artist (or lack there of) needs to go back to school…..I mean is this the same guy who designed the damn Oregon Ducks? WTF? whats up with the wings on the shoulders of the Eagles uniform….. I LOVEd the black jerseys with the white pants….. Even the throwback Kelly Green used this season…. Hell I even liked the 70s era with the White helmet and green wings for some reason, but these uniforms are just plan ugly….. The Browns, i mean come on, what cany ou really do with them? Lions, samething…….I think the NFL should use 2012 for a “Retro” year and all teams use throwbacks! That would be nice!

First off.. these uni’s obviously arent real. Nike had no part in making these. Most of them are pretty sharp, but had Nike been the creators of these, they would be tons better. Have you seen the Pro Combat uni’s worn in college football by teams like VTech, Boise St., and Miami?? Some of the coolest uni’s out there. If you have a problem with those, then you have no swag and no sense of style. Secondly.. To all you guys that say that the NFL is about tradtion.. You’re right to a certain point. Most of these don’t look good at all. This is the NFL, not some video game. Many of the owners would NEVER wear these. If I’m not mistaken, they do have the final say in their own uniforms w/ approval from the league.
I gotta admit that I really like most of these uniforms and my favorite is the Cardinals. The Chiefs looks pretty cool but I think they could have done more. My only fear is that if these are true they may only look good on the computer and not on the field.
The ravens jerseys better have the midfield emblem on them or ill b mad as a hornet. That is part of the state flag. I don’t like these as much as the reebok ones, but it’s not my decision.

Now all the NFL teams can all look as ridiculous as the Univ. of Oregon’s football program I’m all for updating uniform stlyes and logos from time to time. Keeping the look fresh is important. This however is just way too far out there. But that’s Nike for you, Shock and awe!!! I just not impressed.

This is dumb. Teams decide the uniforms not the uniform makers. It doesn’t matter that Nike will take over as the provider for NFL equipment. The only thing that could possibly change the design is if the NFL were to allow Nike to do a Pro Combat-type design like they do in college football…and even that would need to have team approval.
I am in no way a Packers fan, but i didnt see their uniform i think it would be neat to see them too.

Interesting. The only thing that Nike will find out is that while their jerseys look good when worn over the pads their designs will look like absolute garbage when worn by Joe six pack. Not sure I understand the point of squeezing Reebok out only to create designs that ultimately won’t sell? Reebok made a similar mistake when they introduced their futuristic NHL uniforms. Turns out the uniform fit and fabric really have jack s–t to do with on ice performance and ultimately players didn’t like the fitted jerseys so they simply all wear larger sizes- BRILLIANT! Plus the fans prefer the traditional knit patterns that look like crap with the curved bottom hem. Also their ultra fill material sucked and was replaced with airknit with in a year. The stretch nylon mess is a nice material but since it is only used on the back of the jersey it creates a bit of a frankenstein’s monster effect. Also it is frankly stupid to put one design firm in charge of the entire league unless your objective is to create a homogenized effect where there is little difference between each team’s look. Basically most of these new Nike NFL designs look cool but we have to question change for the sake of change.

Definitely keep some tradition in the uniforms otherwise all will get boring after a while, Like when a team with a traditional uniform plays a team with a more future look. You can appreciate both a little more bc there not the same. i.e…Raiders traditional look vs Broncos new uni. But the league needs an upgrade into some kind of future uniforms. I don’t think you can do much for some teams who have alot of tradion without completely revamping the color schemes. I.e…Packers, colts, Browns, Raiders, etc…but it will be cool to see some changes…

I like the Jets unis (mainly because I’m a Jets fan), but they do need a little bit of work. They’re kinda dark. Maybe some white lining between the black and green will brighten things up.

These unis look like something from the 31st Century. Where is the tradition? There should be a gradual transition before these extreme unis come out like that. I don’t like the idea of the “trim” colors becoming the secondary colors – i.e. KC (yellow), Jets (black), Vikings (yellow), etc. Washington should keep its gold. It looks like the Lions are dressed in teal rather than their classic, Hawaiian blue. And I don’t see any white in these uniforms (especially the pants – most of them look silver). They should display the white versions of these unis. And the Saints, Dolphins, Bucs, and Cards are looking like “Alouettes” which the Bills are getting away from. The Bills are doing something smart in returning to their old uniforms. I never did like the big white on the sides of each jersey (makes them look like they are wearing vests or bibs).

These are so fake, it’s truly hilarious. I’m a graphic designer, and I can safely say no professional designer would ever show a client garbage like this. The team’s colors are ridiculous on some of these, and that’s something you just can’t mess with with a lot of these franchises. Look at the Bengals and Steelers uni’s. They’re the most atrocious s**t I’ve ever seen. Granted, some of them look well-designed, but more than half are just complete s**t. Nike would NEVER allow such awful s**t to be shown to any NFL or team representatives for consideration. They’d be laughed out the door.

A few are cool, and I could see uniform design going this way somewhere down the line. I mean, graphic arts has come such a long way that it would be a waste not to use it.
As far as “tradition” goes, if a drastic uniform change was made such as this I believe everyone would get used to the look within a couple of years. You’ll be watching a replay of the Super Bowl XL thinking, “Man, those unis are very bland!” This is the future, but it wont be tomorrow.
This article is a hoax, with imaginative designs, and great use of existing color combos on most. Some of these may not be a stretch in the future. Some of these designs above pay tribute to past uniforms designs.
But if your arguement is that this is not tradition, leave it the way its been for years, yadiyadiyada thats just a load! Most of the current desings today wouldn’t exist today if it werent for color scheme changes, with secondary colors added, or the fonts on some teams’ jerseys(i.e. Ravens, Broncos, Titans). Personally, I’d love to see this creativeness out of Nike. I don’t know that every team needs a drastic change, but things are always changing. Don’t talk smack like its a bad thing.
And a side note, as much as I HATE the Patriots those uniforms would be sweet to see them in if it didn’t appear that they were representing the USA rather than New England…but maybe the right direction for a design for the Pro Bowl….

The patriots uniforms are amazing, the colts uniforms are just more fitted, and the jets and eagles u informs are the s***. who ever don’t like these uniforms don’t have taste. This change would be better because we’ve watches the same uninforms for a while now. Everybody is acting like it’s going to change the way the players are playing. Not one of these uniforms will ever be used in the NFL and they should not be anyway. Minor changes are okay but extreme changes are too much. The reality is these are the posters own home made designs.
If these uniforms were the real deal we would hear about them and see them on more than just this site. ESPN and the such would show them.

Saints Girl I am not mad and I am not a hater. I don’t hate any of these uniforms but I do realize that these are the posters creations and will in no way ever be seen on an NFL field. Some of these however are not really all that different from the look some teams currently have. I would love to see some of these on an NFL field next season for certain games but I would have to hear from a reputable source that these updates on here are on the way before I took this posters word for it.

My Niner’s finally took a step in the right direction by going for an updated look from their 80′s unis these past few years. All that is flushed down the toilet if these are what they are going to…HORRIBLE!!!
About 50% of these are nice. Some are just confusing like the Bengals and bird teams (what’s up with the feathers?), and some are just ruined (Niners, Steelers and Vikings).

These look like crap. They look like overdone Arena Football uniforms. I doubt that these are real and i doubt teams like the Raiders and Cowboys will get rid of their classic and loved uniforms for these things.
I’m loving the Bengals and Patriots along with the the Redskins and Titans helmets. The Jets have to be in the bottom 3 along with the Giants and the Jags. I mean why would they put a leopard pattern on the side. It just looks ugly. Surprisingly, the Vikings have nice uniforms for the first time ever (or as long in my lifetime considering I’m only 18). The Dolphins are obviously the most creative. I mean orange and sea green. I LOVE IT. Da Browns are Browns and will never have anything above mediocre for there uniforms. The only question I have for Nike is even though this will probably never happen, would these be the primary uniforms or the uniforms they’ll wear like once every other year. Just my humble opinion. Not sure what to think, if these are real..some of these go back to the old 80′s and 90′s design (bucs and broncos) but some of them are wierd. Like the bears helmet being white and not blue like it always has been. The patriots one is tooooo colorful and some of them are really off the wall (vikings got to much purple on it) the jaguars helmet is plain and the leopard print on the side is strange…..but those are my opinions

These are not real. The Chiefs have not changed their jersey since they have been the Chiefs..this won’t happen. The Sea of Red will never accept a yellow helment..I can see some of these making it with the teams that have little tradition, but most of them are prototypes.

My home town is Kansas City, Mo. I think that the Chiefs uniforms look pretty good. The gold helmet is growing on me. I was impressed with a few of the other teams as well. But someone needs to re-think the Bengals uniform, it’s just too much. I also think that the Cardinals is a bit overdone. All and all, they’re okay.

The reality is that Nike may suggest some design changes, but the final uniforms are up to the owners. And who cares what they wear any way. Your team is still your team no matter what they are dressed like. Unless your team owner let’s fans vote on designs, none of our opinions will matter more than they have any other year.
Change is inevitable, and often a good thing. Every team has made some type of uniform change over the years, whether minor hue changes, or full revamps like Tampa Bay, New England, Denver, etc.
Whatever the uniforms are in 2012, true NFL fans will watch every game they can. And love every minute of it.

Im not an Eagles fan, but does anyone see the resemblance to the Oregon Ducks uniform with their jerseys? Listen – Nike doesn’t have the say when it comes to uniform changes, its the team organizations themselves who decide on how the team’s uniform should look. At best these are only suggestions of how some designer feels each team’s uniform should look like but in the end nothing gets done without approval from the owners of the teams and the NFL leadership.

The Chiefs uniforms are ugly. Our colors are red, white and yellow. There is no neon yellow in our unifroms. Neon yellow helmet? C’mon man! Well, every team has both home and away jerseys. the home jersey is always colored and the away jersey is white (for EVERY team). the cowboys always choose to play away jerseys at home, and when they play away the have to wear their away jerseys because the home team usually decides to wear their home jersey. therefore they obviously have to have away and home jerseys!!!!!!!!!!!

As a steelers fan, i would be very angry if they changed the uniforms to look like that crap. There is so much history in the steelers uniform, it has barely changed siince 1933. This is the NFL, not the arena league or college, lets keep them looking like ppros, not joes!!!!!
The steelers uniforms will not change. These renders are not real. They were made over a year ago and not officially by Nike. Teams have to accept uniform changes anyway Nike has no say over what style of uni’s the Steelers wear. In fact only 2 teams have decided to make any major changes to there uni’s. The Seattle Seahawks and the Carolina Panthers. Every other team the jerseys will look generally the same. Nike is changing everyones jersey in the sense that they will you the Pro Combat fabric and all their new sports wear technology but most uniforms will look almost exactly the same. Maybe logos on the gloves like College Pro Combat Uniforms but thats about it. No need for worry.

Thank god these aren’t real. Nike did redo all of the uniforms, but kept almost all of the traditional lines and colors. These would be less than great for a 3rd rate Arena Football video game, but are so damn tacky it’s ridiculous. Way to keep it classy nike and NFL. Whoever did these designs… Keep trying man.

Over the last 4 months I have had a legal threat. But to be honest I have not taken this threat seriously because the person on the other end will not identify themselves, tell me which post they think is defamatory, or tell me who their lawyer is. Instead their focus has been on getting my full name, phone number, and my physical address.
They choose to go through an email account that my webmaster had set up and I am not exactly sure how they determined what it was. I currently use Gmail for this site. Normally most people contact me through the contact form, and the email gets sent to the Gmail account. I can only assume that they did this so that I could not identify them. Because I think they had contacted me before and as some hosts know I don’t keep email exchanges private.
But really who exactly would be comfortable giving any detail to someone who tries to remain anonymous. In this day and age when there are a lot of people out there phising for your personal information I am not even inclined to give my first name. Yes I know my name is on almost every post I make, almost every comment which I treat like a personal letter to every response. But like many people I do value my privacy.
