Michael Irvin Accused of Rape, Woman Sues For Sexual Assault
Michael Irvin’s name is in the headlines again. No it’s not a drug charge — this time it’s rape. These are not criminal charges, however. A woman has filed a civil suit accusing him of sexual assault that allegedly took place in 2007.
According to the lawsuit, Irvin got the woman drunk before he and an accomplice demanded that she perform sexual acts. The Herald adds:
That’s when the unidentified man held her down and covered her mouth, according to the suit, then Irvin raped her, she said. When Irvin was done, the other man forced her to perform oral sex.
This is not the first time he has been accused of rape. In 1996 a woman accused Irvin of raping a woman with a teammate, but those allegations were determined to be false.
Irvin has since had his ESPN Dallas radio show cancelled.
