Michael David Barrett Should Be Castrated
The man who stalked and completely violated Erin Andrews in every way but a physical one, Michael David Barrett, has been sentenced to 30 months in prison.
That’s only two and a half years. According to the judge, it was a maximum sentence allowed by law.
“The victim, Andrews, will be suffering with this problem for the rest of her life,” U.S. District Judge Manuel Real said. “There is no life sentence that can be imposed upon him, except his own guilt.”
Do you see the hopelessness in his words?
What Barrett did essentially amounts to the enabling of global rape. He stole her privacy, with absolutely no right or provocation — which can never be returned.
I do not believe that his sentence is fair. She does not believe this sentence is fair.
“I’m at the angry stage now. I’m mad. Thirty months isn’t enough.” Andrews said after the sentencing.
However I do believe in preventative maintenance. When you aim to resolve an issue, you treat the cause, not the symptom. What caused MDB’s gross perversion of humanity? The lack of control of his hormones/libido.
If he’s too irresponsible to handle something as potentially dangerous as a sex drive, then the answer is simple. Remove the problem. Remove the cause. Both of them.
While I know that will never happen in this “civilized” society, I’m sure he’ll hire a PR firm that will spin his tale into a sympathetic one.
When he gets out of prison, I hope paparazzi drive him absolutely insane, stalking his every move, villainizing him in every way possible. I wouldn’t object to libel.

Why would you stalk the one woman who every ESPN-watching guy would leap at the chance to defend? All he’s got to do is be recognized by anyone who is 1. Male and 2. Fond of sports. That’s not at all likely. Especially in prison. Good luck, buddy.

Um, I wouldn’t defend Erin Andrews. And I bet most ESPN-watching guys think she deserved her “violation”. She’s on ESPN because of her T & A. There are two kinds of women sports reporters: smart dykes and bimbos. So M.D. Barrett couldn’t get any and was a little sicko for drilling holes in the hotel walls and taping EA. But what ESPN straight male viewer doesn’t want to drill EA’s holes?

30 months is too short. Why not extend it to life sentence? I think that is fair enough.
He violated the law but the decision will still depend on the on the judge. People will really want him to stay in prison. I think he deserve it.
You know, i think that every woman that states that a man should be castrated, should have a hysterectomy. Talking about sexually mutilating someone who may or may not have violated a law when he never actually touched the woman is sick.
This article advocating misandrous hate crimes should really be removed.
2 1/2 years is ridiculous for this crime. I understand it’s creepy and he invaded her privacy, but people who mug or physically assault people get less jail time than this. Should have been 15 months and community service.
castration? really? get ahold of yourselves, drama queens.. yes he should be punished, but video-taping someone should not fall under the same spectrum as actual physical rape.
