LeBron James and The Cleveland Dream Team, Then I Woke Up

As a fan of Cleveland Sports, you have to be a little bit delusional in order to continue being able to root for these s**tty ass teams. The Cavs and the Indians have done nothing but disappoint when it comes to expectations, and the Browns are, well…the Browns.

When it comes to LeBron’s pending free agency, there isn’t a whole lot us fans can do except sit back and hope to God that somehow he decides to stay with the Cavs. But while none of us can predict where LeBron or any of the pending free agents will go, even though we will constantly hear everyone’s best guess, Dwayne Wade had some interesting comments when it comes to the plans of these mega-free agents.

Apparently, the Chicago Tribute is reporting that Wade, LeBron, and Joe Johnson are meeting to discuss what exactly all of these max contract player’s are going to do. Which makes a delusional Cleveland fan as myself dream of the endless possibilities that this could mean. (Oh, ESPN later reported that Chris Bosh was also invited, almost making it seem like he felt left out.)

I will preface this by saying, THIS WILL NEVER HAPPEN! But once again, since I have a little crazy in me, I have to at least talk about it.

Could you imagine if somehow LeBron is able to convince any of these marquee players to join him in Cleveland? What if even somehow all of these guys decide to join forces and all come to Cleveland? What if…

Now, I understand all of these guys would have to take extreme pay cuts in order to make this happen. But if these guys are so serious about it all being about winning, why wouldn’t they want to get together and make the greatest team in NBA history? And do it in Cleveland no less!!??

Like I said, I know this won’t happen, but it is still fun to think about. No matter how much these guys talk about winning, money has and always will come first.

But if you don’t mind, I think I will dream just a little bit longer.
