Why Is Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Dunking Pumpkins? [Video]

If your immediate reaction was that he is promoting the upcoming Smashing Pumpkins album, I applaud your psychic abilities because there is no f**king way any normal person would put those two together.

The Smashing Pumpkins are coming out with their 9th studio album, Oceania, and apparently Kareem is their new spokesperson or some s**t. It’s not a funny video. Hell, it really isn’t even one bit entertaining (I know you want to watch it now). But I’ll be damned if there isn’t a better chance that I pick up this new album when it comes out.

But the question is still open, why exactly is Kareem Abdul-Jabbar dunking basketballs to promote the upcoming Smashing Pumpkins album? I don’t see Kareem being in the Billy Corgan/Pumpkins fan club, but at the same time, maybe it’s just one bald dude looking out for another one.

Or maybe Kareem is just weird. Yeah, I’m gonna go with that.
