This one is pretty sweet, too.
Here is Part Three of our Fan Maps series, featuring the NBA.
I think this one is the best, graphically. I like how the logos are incorporated into the territories – similar to the NFL Fan Map, but it looks smoother on the NBA Fan Map.
I can’t help but notice two teams with gigantic representation: the OKC Thunder and the Minnesota Timberwolves. I bet you there are more Lakers fans in these areas than both of those teams combined.

Washington state could care less about the Blazers. Even with Mr. Sonics as their coach and a slew of players from Seattle, fans could care less.

I guess the Raptors don’t have a team anymore eh? I bet the guy who did this is an American that doesn’t even know where Toronto is…
Nebraska could care less about basketball unless its college. What fans I have seen though, west Nebraska are Denver otherwise Thunder are starting to spread here and Chicago Bulls fan. Only Minnesota fans I’ve seen here are the NFL ones.
Again, a lot more focused on state lines than reality. The absurdity of the Blazers, T-Wolves, and Thunder ranges have already been commented on, but the Grizzlies aren’t the favorite team in Memphis, let alone that entire area.
And to Raptor: That “red over Detroit” would be Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, which is Pistons territory, except for maybe the western edge.
No Raptors?
