Evan Turner Is About To Get Paid, Leaves Ohio State For NBA Riches
Evan Turner has decided to pass up his senior season at Ohio State and enter the NBA draft. Turner should be among the top picks after a dominating junior season in which he was named the AP player of the year.
He lead Ohio State to a 29-8 record that included the Big Ten regular season championship and the conference championship. Ohio State made it to the Sweet 16 and was upset by Tennessee.
Despite stating “I don’t want to go out like that” immediately after his team’s disappointing exit from the tournament, Turner realized getting rich quick is hard to pass up.
If Turner decided to return to the Buckeyes, they would’ve had a very legitiment shot at winning a title in 2010-11.
Despite the loss of Turner, the Buckeyes have a strong nucleus of returning players to go along with one of the best recruiting classes in the nation. This should maintain their standing as the team to beat in the Big Ten in 2010-11.

a legitimate chance? they would have won the title no chance about it if he came back
Evan Turner leaves, Maurice Clarett comes back…oh, what a sad, sad day
If Thad Matta would’ve played more than 6 guys, maybe Turner and some of the other stars on Ohio State could of got a rest here and there and been more effective late in games. They were exhausted at the end of the Tennessee game and I blame Matta for not using the bench to have his starters fresh for the end of the game.
Dude we had NO BENCH!!!!!
PJ Hill and Jeremy Simmons could’ve got some floor time to rest some of our starters. Simmons got some minutes in the first half because David Lighty got 2 fouls and he knocked down a couple 3’s. He got no time in the 2nd half. Why???
i would rather have a tired evan turner, lighty, and buford in than a fresh p.j. hill
Hill and Simmons still would not have helped the fact that we got out-rebounded like a mofo. No inside game, no tournament championship…plain and simple..
I agree with Hogue, our inside game sucked and eventually would’ve been our downfall but we would’ve beat Tennessee with a fresh Turner, Lighty, and Buford during crunch time! Thad….next year please play more than 6 guys!
