ESPN, Marvel and the NBA have teamed up to make very interesting comic book covers for each NBA team this year, with a Marvel themed twist.
These illustrations are done very well, and they even go out on a limb on a few, especially when it comes to Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony, and the Kings and Cavs covers aren’t too uplifting either.
In fact, the Cavs get kicked in the teeth, blindsided even, by getting dubbed The Unamazing Cavaliers, in front of a picture depicting LeBron walking away with his old Cavs jersey in a trash can — much like Peter Parker’s “retirement” cover.
For some inexplicable reason, ESPN buried these in their magazine and in The Insider portion of their website. That’s why we busted our ass to bring these to you — because the covers are f**king cool and you should see them.
We’ve split them up into both conferences, 15 for the Western Conference and 15 for the Eastern Conference. Which one is your favorite?
The artists did an amazing job and receive credit for their work below the image.
