ESPN Is All But Saying LeBron Threw Game 5

ESPN Is All But Saying LeBron Threw Game 5Mike and Mike were talking this morning about how awful (awful!) LeBron played last night.

With good reason: the Cavs got the s**t kicked out of themselves. By the Celtics. At home. Again.

Only this time it was the worst home playoff loss in Cavs history.  Think of all the Cavs records James has broken in his career there.  Now think of how sickening it would be if in his last game at the Q, he set a record in futility.

From Chris Sheridan to Chris Broussard, everyone in Bristol is getting their bash on. But if you listen harder, they are insinuating something else. Or are they?

The common theme in most of the bashing is how “puzzled” everyone is that LeBron “didn’t play.” Not that he played poorly. They are speaking of him like he didn’t even show up.

They point out his lack of hustle, lack of effort and lack of desire. They question his toughness, his conditioning and his heart.

They are also confused that the Celtics are playing this well.  I believe the phrase “scratching our heads” was used more than once.

Turn on any format of ESPN and you will hear it in the next 10 minutes.  But you don’t have to, just watch the video below.  Legler’s commentary smacks of skepticism and disbelief.

Some highlights are:

“I equated it to Reggie Jackson being in the World Series and taking called third strikes four times in a row.”

LeBron is “a guy that is not in the moment in any shape or form”

“He didn’t really want to shoot it. It was a very strange performance.”

Is this s**t fixed or not?

  1. Jordan says:

I have never really bought into the whole NBA is fixed thing, but last nights performance by Lebron really has me thinking other wise. I have never seen Lebron be so passive and appear to not care in what was probably one of the most important games in Cavs history. If he doesn’t show up game 6 and 7 Cleveland can kiss his ass goobye.

  2. Brad says:

F**k yeah this s**t is fixed…I have never seen anything like this before…lebron did not play as if he cared AT ALL.

  3. Dylan Murphy says:

This just confirms LeBron is coming to New York.

  4. Braylon Edwards says:

    {Sigh of relief}

  5. Mike White says:

If he plays like that again, I’ll buy his plane ticket to New York. No-heart-having motherf**ker.

  6. DAvid Stern says:
