Dwight Gooden Arrested For Hit & Run, DWI, Child Endangerment
Dwight Gooden appears to have fallen off the wagon again.
The much troubled Mets start pitcher from the 80’s is back on the police blotter after years of self-proclaimed sobriety and this one’s bad. I tell you when he does it, he does it.
He got into an accident this morning in New Jersey and fled the scene. After being tracked down by police, they realized he was high on something and his 5-year-old son was in the car. When it was all said and done he has a laundry list of charges: driving while under the influence of drugs, endangering the welfare of a child, leaving the scene, reckless driving and DWI with a child passenger.
You hate to see this happen just when you think he’s gotten his life turned around. Of course, this isn’t the first time he has run from the cops.
