How Do You Make A Curler Cry? Ask Canada.

Danish curling skip Madeleine Dupont was left in tears after Denmark’s recent 5-4 loss to Canada. Dupont missed two potentially game winning shots at the end of the match, and blamed the misses on the boisterous Canadian crowd.

DuPont said the noise was so substantial that she was unable to communicate with her teammates, and she had trouble focusing on her kick-off. Even Canadian skip Cheryl Bernard mentioned that the crowd was too loud. For those unfamiliar with the curling world, this is equivalent to an air horn going off just as a tennis player releases the ball during his serve.

Soooo, way to go Canada! On the same night Uncle Sam beat you at your own game, you went and bullied a 22 year old Danish GIRL curler.

Was your mom really mean to you when you were a kid, Canada?? For all your attitude about being the anti-America, your behavior towards Ms. Dupont was decidedly American: boorish and arrogant.

If you haven’t figured out the art of bullying by watching us the last 200+ years, I’m not sure you’ll ever get it.

Maybe if your hockey team had the heart of your curling crowd, you wouldn’t be looking up at Uncle Sam in the standings. So the next time you want to pick on someone, try to look for someone closer to your size.

In the meantime, you are much better served as “America’s Hat”. And when you make cute girls cry, you come off looking like iceholes, to quote Stephen Colbert.
