Cincinnati’s Scott Rolen Has the Reds In 1st Place, So He Deserves a Song [Music Video]
As a Reds fan, I have been waiting for the opportunity to be able to talk about them being in first place in the NL Central. But a part of me just didn’t want to do it – mainly out of fear of jinxing them or just the fact that no matter how hot of a start the Reds get off to, they always seem to blow it after the All-Star break.
One of the biggest surprises of this years season has been the emergence of Scott Rolen.
Not only is Rolen the quiet leader of a young Cincinnati Reds ball club, but he has also been able to produce more home runs already this season than he has in each of the past two (13 in 2010, 11 in 2009 & 2008). Which is more than enough reason for someone to create a song entitled “Proud Dusty (Rolen on the River).
And while this might not match the amazingness of Bronson Arroyo’s JTM commercial from a couple years back, I still appreciate the creativity.
