Bye, Bye Boomer? We Can Only Hope So
Rumors have been flying around lately that long time ESPN analyst, Chris Berman, may be leaving to pursue other opportunities once his contract expires this May.
NFL network and DirecTV have been courting Berman for some time now. DirecTV wants Berman for a pre and post game NFL show, much like he hosts on ESPN Sunday Countdown.
The satellite provider also has a channel in the works that would feature another long time ESPN personality in Dan Patrick with Berman that is devoted to sports programming.
I honestly hope that he is offered enough money to leave the one channel I watch religiously. I know I am not the only one that finds myself changing the channel during Berman’s highlights on Sunday Countdown.
The constant re-naming of players was “cute” in the beginning but now is just damn annoying.
Also, I could see the home run derby being tolerable without him yelling “back, back, back, back, back” every time a homerun is hit.
Think I’m the only one that would be glad to see him go? Ask the guys behind the camera if they care whether or not the door hits him in the ass on the way out.
