Browns DT Shaun Rogers Starts Community Service Early, Helps Catch Drunk Driver
Even though Browns Defensive Lineman Shaun Rogers is currently having some legal problems of his own – which could in effect have him lose playing time – it doesn’t mean he is a complete waste to the city of Cleveland.
Last Thursday night, while driving home from a long night of partying (ok, I made that part up), Rogers helped police by not only calling in a drunk driver, but by also assisting with the emergency lights of his car, almost as if he was pulling the car over himself.
Rogers called police saying that a car was driving erratically, and also had a flat tire. And after the car pulled over due to the flat tire, Rogers waited behind him until the cops arrived.
“Mr. Rogers positioned himself behind that vehicle and turned his emergency flashers on to notify other drivers that there was an emergency on the road, and I don’t know what would’ve happened had he not done that,” Middleburg Heights Police Chief John Maddox said.
I’m not sure if this will do anything to help his current legal situation or with Roger Goodell, but getting the Cops on your good side can’t neccesarily be a bad thing.
If anything, maybe Rogers will want to take Shaq’s place as one of Cleveland’s deputy sheriffs.

He could probably catch a lot of drunk drivers right now from the Lebron hangover, maybe stop a few people form jumping off buildings.
