In the past 4 years, Ben Roethlisberger’s off the field activities included facial reconstructive surgery after a motorcycle accident in which he preferred not to wear a helmet, a Lake Tahoe woman accused him of sexual assault, and, well, Milledgeville.
One might compare Big Ben’s social life to Charlie Harper from “Two and a Half-Men.” Just like Big Ben, Charlie’s number one hang out spot is the bar.
Just like Big Ben, Charlie’s favorite activity is to have sex with as many women as possible.
OK, so there is one small difference: Charlie doesn’t have to force women to have sex with him. Maybe Big Ben should get some tips from Charlie Sheen himself on how to treat the ladies.
On second thought, using a knife to threaten a girl might not be the best plan, either.
Despite all these predicaments, Ben Roethlisberger might have finally realized that the direction he was going in with his life might not be the healthiest thing for him in the long run.
It appears Big Ben is playing with more passion and more heart than any other season in his career. He has really taken his leadership to the next level as he tries to earn trust and fix his broken image with the city of Pittsburgh.
A third Super Bowl win would put Roethlisberger into an elite category of quarterbacks. As much as you may hate it, a Super Bowl win this Sunday would make him one of the best quarterbacks of all time.
He has a chip on his shoulder, and is hungrier than he has ever been. He may not have everything figured out, but he appears to be changing his life for the better at the right time.
