Barkley On Masters’ Chairman Billy Payne, “He’s Acting Like He’s a Slave Owner”

Whenever Charles Barkley does an interview, you know you are in for a treat. How he continues to do live television is beyond me (I am sure there has to be a delay).

But when you get him at his best, especially during a live radio interview, he just continues to s**t out blog writing gold.

You know, if Barkley and his “boy” Tiger are such good friends, you would think his Golf game wouldn’t be so incredibly horrible.

Today on the Dan Patrick Show:

DP: Do you want to clarify a couple things you said about Masters chairman Billy Payne?
CB: What ever I said, I meant to say it. What I said behind closed doors was probably a lot worse. Cause the stuff I said

behind closed doors, TNT couldn’t put it on. Billy Payne needs to have his ass whooped. I don’t know who the hell he thinks he is to try to chastise Tiger publicly like that. I think he still thinks he’s on the plantation somewhere. You know, you can’t say that type of stuff about somebody’s personal life. You know, I’m really sick of all these high and mighty reporters trying to act like they ain’t never sinned.

DP: But you called him an “Uncle Tom?”
CB: Well whatever. I meant to say, you know what I meant. He’s acting like he’s a slave owner and he’s leading the plantation and one of his brothers, and I say brothers cause you all won’t let me use the word I want to say, he want to act like, well you ain’t been a good boy, boy. First of all, that’s Tiger Wood’s personal life, that has nothing to do with golf. And also what I said was, the notion that Billy Payne has been telling his kids and his grandkids to be like Tiger Woods is absurd. If you all guys want to get into it, I have no problem going there. But the notion that Billy Payne has been telling his kids and his grandkids to be like Tiger woods is absurd. You know this thing has gotten to the point where it’s just flat out ridiculous. I’m not here to condone or defend Tiger, but this thing has gotten to the point where it’s really become absurd, I really believe that.
