I love stadium implosions. The very grandness of what is taking place is a bit overwhelming when you watch it.
Especially if you came to the place as a kid; with the enormity of the place towering over you, intimidating your every step.
Casey Rogers, an incredibly mature 11-year old, won a contest to push the button to detonate the dynamite at Texas Stadium. (These jokesters interviewing him are major chuckleheads, and the kid stays cool as a cucumber.)
Texas Stadium, home to an uncountable amount of NFL memories, was demolished by implosion this morning.
We got a couple different angles of the implosion for you below. And we thought you might enjoy the fan-cam style from the crowd as well. Completely raw, uncut and unprofessional.
This would have to be incredibly emotional for a lot of people. It was reported that Jerry Jones even felt a thing or two. It’sĀ impossible to truly quantify what this place had meant to so many people over the years.
